In other action, the board:
Approved a resolution designating the week of May 5-9 as “Teacher and Classified Staff Appreciation Week.”
Approved the constitution of the Northwest Ohio Area Computer Services Cooperative as presented.
Heard reports from Superintendent Doug Fries and principals Kelly Dye (high school/junior high school) and William Kelly (elementary school).
Approved the list of graduating seniors for 2008, pending completion of all necessary requirements.
Employed Ruth Welker and Wendy Stukey as substitute teacher’s aides.
Authorized renewal of comprehensive membership in the Northwest Ohio Educational Technology Foundation for the 2008-2009 school year, including video streaming at a cost of $1.40 per student and $825 per building.
Hired Emily Dull and Emily Smith as student latchkey assistants for the remainder of this school year.
Approved Kevin Longstreth as an unpaid volunteer junior high baseball coach.
Accepted Kevin Losh’s resignation as scholastic bowl advisor at the end of this school year.
Gave volleyball coach Rhonda Dannenfelser approval to run an elementary girls volleyball camp May 5-8 in the elementary gym, and also authorized her to take the high school varsity volleyball team to an overnight team camp at Bowling Green State University on July 10-12.
Authorized FFA members and advisor Tony Campbell to attend the state FFA convention in Columbus.
Went into executive session to discuss personnel issues, with some action expected after the session.
The next meeting of the Lincolnview Local Board of Education will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15.
