Marsh Foundation Youth Do Well in Art Contest
The youth at The Marsh Foundation recently submitted projects completed in their art classes to the art competition at the annual Apple Festival. In the contest, youth were competing with students at all Van Wert County schools. The youth were very successful, winning 10 awards, including Best of Show.
Best of Show went to ‘Willow’ a horse made of willow tree branches. For the collaborative effort, the youth won a $25 prize. In addition, nine other youth won awards. They were:

· Dan – Third Place ($10)
· Dakota – Second Place ($15)
· James – Third Place ($10)
· Anna – First Place ($20)
· Brandon – Second Place ($15)
· Roy – Third Place ($10)
· Brian – Fourth Place ($5)
Serving children and families since 1922, The Marsh Foundation is a not-for-profit children’s services agency that provides behavioral treatment in a variety of settings. Services include group homes, treatment and family foster care, an intensive treatment program and independent living. Located in Van Wert, Ohio, the organization’s group homes are licensed for up to 30 children ages 7 – 17, offers an on-campus school for grades 2 – 12 and provides a variety of clinical services to group home residents, foster children and community members.
