The following is a weekly report concerning highway construction projects within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 which includes the counties of Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Wyandot. CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE PROJECTS 
WEEK OF:
November 16, 2009

 

Allen County

U.S. 30 from the Hancock County line to Mayberry Road, both eastbound and westbound – Sealing of pavement cracks will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Work is being performed by Allen County ODOT.

 

Ohio 103 (Main Street) from College Avenue to Jefferson Street, Bluffton – Traffic is maintained during a streetscape project which is expected to be completed in mid November. Work is being performed by Smith Paving, Norwalk.

 

Ohio 66 in Spencerville – Route closed July 13 until late November for a streetscape project. Traffic detoured onto Kolter Road, Monfort Road and Ohio 117 back to Ohio 66. Work is being performed by Hume Supply, Lima.

 

Defiance County

Ohio 249 just west of Ohio 49 to Farmer – Sealing of pavement cracks will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Work is being performed by Defiance County ODOT.

 

Ohio 111 from the city of Defiance to the Paulding County line - Sealing of pavement cracks will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Work is being performed by Defiance County ODOT.

 

Ohio 15 north of Buckskin Road – Ditch work will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Work is being performed by Defiance County ODOT.

 

Hancock County

U.S. 68 just north of the Hardin County line – Route is now open.

 

Ohio 568 at County Road 236 at the east edge of Findlay – Project to upgrade the intersection began September 9. The intersection was closed October 20 and will remain closed through November. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 37, Ohio 15 and Ohio 330 back to Ohio 568. Work is being performed by A. Bonamase Contracting, Cleveland. This project has received funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  

 

Ohio 568 (Sandusky Street) over Eagle Creek, Findlay – Traffic is maintained during bridge sidewalk repair which is under way and will continue through mid November. Work is being performed by Posen Construction, Shelby Township, Mich.

 

Hardin County

U.S. 68 from Dunkirk to the Hancock County line – Sealing of pavement cracks will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Work is being performed by Hardin County ODOT.

 

Ohio 195 between Ohio 309 and Ohio 235 – Route closed September 24 for repair of pavement instability and embankment slippage. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 235 to Ohio 309 back to Ohio 195.

 

Paulding County

Ohio 500/Ohio 613 between Ohio 49 (Main Street) and Ohio 500/Ohio613 at the east edge of the village of Payne – Route closed November 9 until the end of December for sanitary sewer installation. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 49, County Road 94 back to Ohio 500/Ohio 613. Work is being performed by Underground Utilities Inc. for the Village of Payne.

 

Ohio 49 south of Antwerp – Tile replacement will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Traffic on County Road 144 will be affected at times as well. Work is being performed by Paulding County ODOT.

 

U.S. 127 north of U.S. 24 – Sealing of pavement cracks will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Work is being performed by Paulding County ODOT.

 

Putnam County

Ohio 613 between Township Road 13 and Township Road 12 – Route is now open.

 

Ohio 634 just north of Cloverdale – Route is now open.

 

Van Wert County

U.S. 127 between Van Wert and the Paulding County line – Sealing of pavement cracks will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone. Work is being performed by Van Wert County ODOT.

 

Wyandot County

There are no projects scheduled during the week which will have a significant impact on traffic.
