KIRKPATRICK
    Dorothy J. Kirkpatrick, 84, of Van Wert, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.
    She was born July 25, 1923, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Wallace and Mary (Foulk) Smith. On October 18, 1947, she married William Paul Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death on January 7, 1997.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick had been an employee of the former Continental Can Company, Van Wert Manufacturing and Big Lots Department Store, all in Van Wert. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
    Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie J. Kirkpatrick of Van Wert, and Penny (Larry) Kouts, both of Van Wert; three grandchildren, Travis Lee Kouts of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Christina Ann Kouts and Chad Eugene Kouts, both of Van Wert; and two great-grandchildren, Dominick William Johnson and Braxton James Kouts, both of Van Wert.
    Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
    Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

WILSON
    Jack L. Wilson, 79, of Angola, Ind., died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Northern Lakes Nursing Home in Angola.
    He was born March 24, 1929, in Paulding County, the son of the late Omer C. and Jenne (Rodgers) Wilson. On March 10, 1952, he married Wilma (Hamrick) Wilson, who survives in Angola.
    Other survivors include four children, Jacqueline (Bill Cox) Clifford of Mendon, Jeff Wilson of Ohio City and Theresa (Scott) Warner and Tracy (Mona) Wilson, both of Angola; two brothers, Gene (Jeannie) Wilson and Rodger (Wynne) Wilson, both of Van Wert; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    Three sisters, Madonna Wilson, Maxine Tarlton and Ethelyn Friesner; and a grandson, John Jeffrey Wilson, also preceded him in death.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, with military graveside rites performed by the combined honor units of Legion Post 178 and VFW Post 5803.
    Visitation is from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the funeral home.
