BROWN
    Donald E. Brown, 92, of Delphos, died at 12:14 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Baton Rouge Health Care.
    He was born February 15, 1916, in Delphos, the son of the late Clint and Florence (Steman) Brown. He married Ruth Rupert, who preceded him in death in 1989.
    Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Carder of Delphos; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
    Two brothers, Byron and Carl Brown, and a son-in-law, Abbot “Bud” Carder, also preceded him in death.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
    Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at the funeral home.

BAKER
    Waldo L. Baker, 84, of Delphos, died at 6:19 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
    He was born August 31, 1923, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Lawrence L. and Ruth (Lhamon) Baker. On May 13, 1943, he married Mae Elizabeth Rauschert, who preceded him in death on April 2, 2002.
    Survivors include a son, Larry (Sherry) Baker of Powell.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 21, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Katherine Olson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, with military rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.
    Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
