DAVIS
Vivian E.
(Pancake) Davis, 77, of Decatur, Ind., died at midnight, Wednesday, April 9,
2008, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born August 24, 1930, in Harrison Township, V
an Wert
County, the daughter of the late Russell E. and Goldie C. (Jewel) Pancake. On
October 14, 1961, she married Norman Reed Davis, who died January 1, 1991.
Mrs. Davis retired from the Adams County (Ind.) Department of
Human Services in Decatur in June 2003 after 28 years of dedicated service.
Vivian was blessed with many talents, in music as a pianist, photography, sewing
and gardening, all of which she shared with her family during life, and which
she leaves to us in visible memories. Her generous, kind and gentle spirit will
be greatly missed by her family and her many friends, both in Van Wert and
Decatur area.
Survivors include two brothers, Paul E. (Carol) Pancake of
Convoy and Al (Marilyn) Pancake of Van Wert; a niece, Brenda (Ron) Allison of
Convoy; two nephews, Dennis (Gena) Pancake of Convoy and Mike Pancake of
Orlando, Fla.; and six great-nephews and great-nieces, Brian (Kelly) Pancake of
Van Wert, and Wes Pancake and Laura Pancake and Brad, Kayla and Eden
Allison, all of Convoy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
April 12, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Robert Shook
officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the funeral
home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vancrest Health
Care Center Activity Fund or Gideons International.

DUNCAN
Jeannebelle Lee Duncan, 66, of Rockford, died at 5:15 p.m.
Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Colonial Nursing Home in Rockford.
She was born May 9, 1941, in Lima, the daughter of Goldie
Lucille (Britton) Duncan, who survives in Ottoville, and the late Virgil Ray
Duncan.
Other survivors include three brothers, Ora C. Duncan and
Johnnie (Cheryl) Duncan, both of Ottoville, and Richard K. Duncan; and a sister,
Carol D. (Jack J.) Brown of Ohio City.
Two brothers, Raymond L. and Vernon F. Duncan, also preceded
her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday,
April 11, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy
Bevington officiating. Burial will be in King Cemetery near Middle Point.
Visitation is from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral
home.
