Death notice for Wilma Ruth Schaffner.

    Wilma Ruth Schaffner, 86, of Grover Hill, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007, at her residence.
    She was born February 25, 1921, in Hoaglin Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Leota E. (Michael) Stukey. She married Cahrol O. Schaffner, who survives in Grover Hill.
    Other survivors include a son, Cahrol Owen Schaffner of Grover Hill.
    A daughter, Rebecca Anne Schaffner; and four sister, Wanda Gilliland, Wilda Stukey, Wilva Bair and a sister who died in infancy, also preceded her in death.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, at Mt. Pleasant Church in rural Van Wert, with Pastor Bill Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pleasant Township.

    Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
