Death notice for Thomas N. Van Metre.

VAN METRE
    Thomas N. Van Metre, 72, of Van Wert, died at 3:09 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2007, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
    He was born June 8, 1935, in Connersville, Ind., the son of the late Merril and Norma (Stemen) Van Metre. He married Darlene L. (Maas) Van Metre, who survives in Van Wert.
    Other survivors include two sons, Mark (Rhonda) Van Metre of Ohio City and Bruce (Lisa) Van Metre of Delphos; a brother, Max (Liz) Van Metre of Van Wert; one sister, Judy (Richard A.) Miller of Van Wert; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    A brother, E. Gordon Van Metre, also preceded him in death.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 4, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. George Reed officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul W. Miller. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
    Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, January 3, at the funeral home.
