MACE
Helen May Mace, 82, of Van Wert, died at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born November 27, 1927, in Van Wert, the
daughter of the late Rex S. and Nellie May (Waldron) Replogle. On July 26, 1946,
she
married James Mace, who preceded her in death on September 24, 1985.
Mrs. Mace retired from Aeroquip Corporation (Eaton) in 1992. She attended Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert and was a 1945 graduate of Van Wert High School. She also belonged to the Aeroquip Lady Retirees organizations.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Carol) Mace of Van Wert; one daughter, Deborah S. (Gary) Miller of Van Wert; seven grandchildren, Lauri A. (Joe) Dohmen of Portage, Ind., Travis J. (Holly) Miller of Goshen, Ind., Trevor J. (Nikki) Miller, Amber S. (Ben) Cowan, Kala S. (Matt) Speelman and Chelsea L. Miller, all of Van Wert, and Jeremy A. Bankey; and 11 great-grandchildren, Carrie and Adam Dohmen, Gabe and Kyah Miller, Dustin and Cassie Hale, Keegan, Kenley and Kelta Cowan, C.J. Speelman, and Caleb M. Bankey.
A brother, Paul Replogle; one sister, Nancy Sue Bowen; and a great-granddaughter, Elliana Grace Miller, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 12, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, with Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 11, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Preferred memorials: Riley Children’s Hospital.

LOUTH
Kathryn J. Louth, 88, of Van Wert, died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Van Wert Manor.
She was born October 6, 1921, in Van Wert, the
daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel (Melchi) Potter. She married Kenneth C.
Louth Sr., who p
receded
her in death on June 1, 2009.
Mrs. Louth retired from Aeroquip Corporation (Eaton) in Van Wert after 15 years of service. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert, where she had taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was a former Van Wert County Board of Elections precinct poll worker for many years.
Survivors include four children, Kenneth C. (Linda) Louth Jr. of Coldwater, Mich., Kristi (Jay) Ehrsam of Angola, Ind., Michael (Trina) Louth of Van Wert and Richard (Anthony Feldmesser) Louth of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Patricia (Harold) Boyd of Urbana; nine grandchildren, Timothy Ehrsam, Douglas Louth, Matthew Ehrsam, Randal Louth, Kelly Coscarelly, Emily Raines, Carmon Louth, Ryan Louth and Adam Miller; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Two brothers, Elmer and James Potter, and three sisters, Henrietta High, Betty Spahr and Juanita Clouse, also preceded her in death.
No funeral services are planned at this time.
There will be no visitation.

LONG
Phyllis J. Long, 75, of Delphos, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, at her daughter’s residence in Lima.
She was born January 16, 1934, in Sandusky, the daughter of the late Ralph and Vera (Link) Hastings. On November 18, 1950, she married Carol W. Long, who preceded her in death on April 27, 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Long of Lima and Mark (Betty) Long of Marco Island, Fla.; a daughter, Vicki Lear of Lima; and seven grandchildren.
Two sisters, Jeannette Adams and Betty Kochan, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, December 14, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Pastor David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 13, at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star memorial service will also be held at 3 p.m.
Preferred memorials: American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
