KNUPPEL

Donald E. Knuppel, 71, of Van Wert and formerly of Easton, Ill., died at 3:32 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born January 8, 1939, in Pekin, Ill., the son of the late Elvin G. and Ellen (Gould) Knuppel. On August 28, 2004, he married Patricia A. (Close) Knuppel, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two children, Dan (Sarah) Knuppel of Forsyth, Ill., and Karen (Greg) Geis of Medina, Texas; a stepson, Scott Pearish of Lakeville, Ind.; two sisters, Nancy Grieve of St. Augustine, Ill., and Martha (Larry) Vogel Bragg of Kirksville, Mo.; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

A stepson, Ralph Pearish, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana, Ill.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

DAULBAUGH

William G. Daulbaugh, 59, of Delphos, died at 10:28 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born February 27, 1950, the son of William D. Daulbaugh, who survives in Delphos, and the late Mildred (Killian) Daulbaugh. In 1995, he married Linda Kurtz, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include a son, Nathan Daulbaugh of Toledo; four daughters, Amber (Shannon Beckman) Daulbaugh of Vandalia, Ill., Erin (Russ) Roberts of Spencerville, Lisa (Adam Blockberger) Krendl of Middle Point, and Tara (Lance Osting) Krendl of Delphos; one brother, Doug Daulbaugh of Mansfield; a sister, Susan (Charlie) Wilkin of Delphos; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. The Delphos Veterans Council will conduct a military service following the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Monday, February 15, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
