He
was born March 14, 1927, in Ohio City, the son of the late Everett Gaylor and
Florence Edith (Debolt) Crone. On June 21, 1947, he married Helen L. (Tribolet)
Crone, who survives in Van Wert.

Donald Eugene Crone, 82, of Van Wert, died at 3:40 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2010, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He
was born March 14, 1927, in Ohio City, the son of the late Everett Gaylor and
Florence Edith (Debolt) Crone. On June 21, 1947, he married Helen L. (Tribolet)
Crone, who survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include two sons, Barry (Leslie) Crone and Brent Crone, both of Van Wert; a sister, Maxine Mock of Fort Wayne, Ind.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Mary Ann Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honors unit of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178, both in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 22, at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 8 that evening.
