NESS
    Donald “Butch” Ness, 61, of Delphos, died at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
    He was born October 23, 1946, in Lima, the son of Florence (Seymour) Ness, who survives in Delphos, and the late Selmer Ness.
    Survivors include a son, Shawn (Rita) Ness of Washington state; and one sister, Linda (Ed) Bailey of Delphos.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, where military graveside rites will be performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.
    Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Friday, February 29, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

MILLER
    Alfred A. Miller, 92, of Delphos, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
    He was born January 9, 1916, in Landeck, the son of the late Peter and Anna (Heitz) Miller. On May 2, 1942, he married Jean (Huber) Miller, who preceded him in death on September 13, 2007.
    Survivors include a son, Gary (Virginia) Miller of Delphos; one daughter, Marilyn (David) Metzger of Fort Jennings; two brothers, Arnold (Calista) Miller and Joe (Lena) Miller, both of Landeck; two sisters, Mary Maag of Columbus Grove and Rose Pohlman of Delphos; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
    Three brothers, Clarence Miller, Herman Miller and Leo Miller; and two sisters, Lillian Ellerbrock and Lucille Oberg, also preceded him in death.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Melvin Verhoff officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Landeck.
    Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Harter and Schier     Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
