    Betty G. Koos, 84, of Van Wert, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
    She was born January 22, 1924, in Center Township, Mercer County, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Ferry (Fast) Roth.
    Survivors include five children, Loretta (Stephen) Markward of Van Wert, Brent (Elaine) Koos of Stanwood, Wash., Debbie Koos and Vicki (Bob) Hart, both of Kendallville, Ind., and Lisa (Joe) Ridenour of Corona, Ind.; three sisters, Billie (Marvin) Fisher and Kittie Schaffner, both of Van Wert, and Shirley DeSanto of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Mary Walters of Van Wert; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
    A sister, Patricia Kline; two brothers, Jack Roth and David Walters; and one grandson, Zachary Markward, also preceded her in death.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, February 8, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Father Mike Zacharias officiating.
    Visitation is from noon-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Council on Aging.
