Death notice for Ruth Leila Bauer.
BAUER
Ruth Leila Bauer, 89, of rural Convoy, died at 1:54 p.m.
Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Convoy Care Center.
She was born May 31, 1918, in Paulding County, the daughter
of the late Franklin and Alma Baker. On September 15, 1951, she married
Frederick Edwin Bauer, who died September 7, 1997.
Mrs. Bauer worked as an assistant manager at Williams
Clothing Store in Rockford. She was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran
Church in Convoy, where she was a member of the Dorcas Guild and Lutheran
Women’s Missionary League. She was an avid gardener and baker. She attended Ohio
City-Liberty School.
Survivors include a son, Charles (Debra) Bauer of Convoy; one
daughter, Cheryl (Randy) McNutt of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Ian and Zane
Bauer; and three nieces and a nephew.
A brother, Vernon Baker; one sister, Pearlie Schaadt; and two
nephews, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, January
14, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy, with the Rev. Michael Saylor
officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Visitation is from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the church, as well
as an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran
Church or Community Health Professionals-Hospice.

WURST
Beatrice B. Wurst, 91, of Landeck, died at 8:02 p.m.
Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
She was born October 29, 1916, in Landeck, the daughter of
the late Michael and Catherine (Pothast) Kimmet. On May 30, 1939, she married
Silvin J. Wurst, who preceded her in death in April 1994.
Survivors include three sons, Ken (Janice) Wurst of
Homerville, Roger (Frani) Wurst of Delphos and Tom (Pat) Wurst of Landeck; two
daughters, Bonnie (Dan) Schmitt of Grand Haven, Mich., and Elaine (Mark)
Warnecke of Delphos; a brother, William Kimmet of Delphos; 18 grandchildren; and
34 great-grandchildren.
A brother, Paul Schaffner, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday,
January 14, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, with Father John
Fleck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 13, at Harter and
Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30
that evening.
