BLACKMORE

Vera E. Blackmore, 90, formerly of Grover Hill, died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010, at Dallas Lamb Foundation Home in Payne.

She was born October 3, 1919, in Defiance, the daughter of the late Noble W. and Ethel G. (Horney) Rise. On November 6, 1943, she married Charles R. Blackmore, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Robert B. (Marcella) Blackmore of Payne; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Three brothers also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 7, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Pat Holt officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
