CASHEL

Roger D. Cashel, 81, of Van Wert, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at his residence.

He was born November 21, 1928, in Van Wert, the son of the late Russell H. and Wilma (Rogers) Cashel. On August 25, 1962, he married Jennie (Gallant) Cashel, who preceded him in death on September 4, 1983.

Survivors include a brother, Myron “Mike” (June) Cashel of Van Wert; one sister, Marcia Cashel of Anderson, Ind.; one niece and a nephew.

An infant son, Roger Eugene Cashel, and one brother, Dennis Cashel, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, January 8, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-noon Friday at the funeral home.

MOX

Franklin O. Mox, 82, of Delphos, died at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

He was born March 19, 1927, in Delphos, the son of the late Oscar and Marie (Freund) Mox. On April 29, 1950, he married Imogene (Slattery) Mox, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include a son, Michael E. (Vickie) Mox of Plano, Texas; two daughters, Linda (Erwin) Monhemius of Wooster and Jeannie (Mark) Hellmann of Andover, Minn.; one sister, Ruth Lynn of Humboldt, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 10, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Delphos, with Rev. Katherine Olson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, with military rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council at the church.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, January 9, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos and an hour prior to services Sunday at the church.
