BOLLENBACHER

Jerry L. Bollenbacher, 69, of Rockford, died at 10:02 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born August 15, 1939, in Mercer County, the son of the late William and Mary Jane (Luttman) Bollenbacher. On July 14, 1979, he married Jean (Taylor) Bollenbacher, who survives in Rockford.

Other survivors include eight children, Ronnie (Kathy) Bollenbacher of Bryant, Ind., David Bollenbacher of Pennville, Ind., Susan (Paul) Cassel of Dunkirk, Ind., Faith (Roger) Nelson of Convoy, Vickie (Dan) Trim of Ypsilanti, Mich., Laura (Tim) Alexander of Celina, Jesse (Teri) McNall of Glens Falls, N.Y., and Brian (Sara) Bollenbacher of Van Wert; a sister, Gloria (Kent) Schindler of Berne, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Chris Stahlman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
