RIGDON

Bill J. Rigdon, 72, of Delphos, died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born April 12, 1937, in Delphos, the son of the late William and Eva (Duncan) Rigdon. On May 11, 1958, he married Clara “Sis” (Guy) Rigdon, who preceded him in death on January 17, 1990.

Survivors include four sons, Tim (Dawn) Rigdon of Spencerville and Mike Rigdon, Jeff (Debbie) Rigdon and Mark (Sharon) Rigdon, all of Lima; a daughter, Theresa Downward of Elida; one sister, Rozzela Closson of Kalida; an adopted son, Josh Rigdon; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Loriann Rigdon; two brothers, Bob and Eugene Rigdon; and two sisters, Betty Closson and Delphine Tinsch, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Chuck Muter officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at the funeral home.

HALL

Robert G. Hall, 69, of Willshire, died at 12:24 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Ind.

He was born October 12, 1940, in Splashdam, Va., the son of Minnie I. (Davis) Edwards, who survives in Birchleaf, Va., and the late Gilmer C. Hall. On August 1, 1964, in LaFollette, Tenn., he married Ada C. (Heatherly) Hall, who survives in Willshire.

Other survivors include a son, Robert A. Hall of Decatur; one daughter, Cheryl (Corey) Wolfe of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Carter (Linda) Edwards of Birchleaf, Va.; two sisters, Jetty O’Quinn of Pulaski, Va., and Janet (Nick) Brewer of Appalachia, Va.; and two grandsons.

A brother, John Hall, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, at First Baptist Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
