VANEPPS
Sherry L. VanEpps, 40, of Bryan, died suddenly Saturday,
March 15, 2008, in Bryan.
She was born October 10, 1967, in Richmond, Va., the daughter
of Joyce L. (Backus) Boyd, who survives in Van Wert, and Michael VanEpps, who
survives in Florida.
Other survivors include a stepfather, James L. Boyd of Van
Wert; a son, James Lee VanEpps of Fred, Texas; her paternal grandmother, Loretta
VanEpps of Florida; a step-paternal grandmother, Margaret Boyd of Van Wert; a
half-brother, Michael VanEpps of Florida; one sister, Michalle VanEpps Finger of
Van Wert; and a nephew, Jeremy Finger of Van Wert.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Oak
Hill IOOF Cemetery in Oak Hill, W.Va.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials: Donor’s choice.

SWARTZ
Irene F. Swartz, 94, of Elida, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, March
15, 2008, at Elmcroft Assisted Living.
She was born January 15, 1914, in Elida, the daughter of the
late Sherman and Lydia (Stemen) Swartz.
Survivors include two sisters, Bertha Whitcher of Premont,
Texas, and Jane (Albert) Good of Elida; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Swartz of
West Liberty and Imogene Swartz of Lima; 14 nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces
and nephews; and 18 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Sam Swartz, Marion Swartz and Charles Swartz;
two nephews; and a brother-in-law, Forest Whitcher, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday,
March 21, at Salem Mennonite Church in Elida, with Rev. Melvin Hathaway
officiating. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery in Elida.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Harter and
Schier Funeral Home in Delphos and an hour prior to services Friday at the
church.
