WRASMAN
    Alfred J. Wrasman, 79, of Delphos, died at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
    He was born February 28, 1929, in Landeck, the son of the late Frank and Loretta (Gengler) Wrasman. On July 30, 1953, he married Rita (Hempfling) Wrasman, who survives in Delphos.
    Other survivors include nine children, Lynn (Tim) Foy of Fort Wayne, Ind., Ted (Diana) Wrasman of Fort Jennings, Jeanette (Chris) Roberts of Bryan, and Karen (Rick) Stant, Chris (Loann) Wrasman, Tony (Ann) Wrasman, Nicholas (Joy) Wrasman, Joe (Jackie) Wrasman and Matt (Janice) Wrasman, all of Delphos; two brothers, Paul (Marion) Wrasman of Las Cruces, N.M., and Kenny (Joanne) Wrasman of Delphos; a sister, Angela (Bill) Myers of Ottawa; 31 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    Three sisters, Dolores Buettner, Rita Wrasman and Monica Wrasman, and two grandchildren, also preceded her in death.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Melvin Verhoff officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos, with military graveside rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.
    Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, and from 2-8 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 Friday evening, and Knights of Columbus Rosary service on Friday evening.

CARTER
    William E. “Bill” Carter, 80, of Van Wert, died at 1:08 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Hospice Home of Fort Wayne, Ind.
    He was born October 7, 1927, in Van Wert, the son of the late McKinley and Cora Mae (Maxson) Carter. On December 18, 1971, he married Martha J. (Stoops) Carter, who survives in Van Wert.
    Other survivors include a son, Gary (Carol) Carter of Van Wert; two stepdaughters, LuAnn (Mike) McDonough of Van Wert and Debra (Jody) Conley of New Haven, Ind.; a sister, Joan (Dale) Long of Van Wert; one sister-in-law, Dora Carter of Van Wert; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Three brothers, Eugene, Raymond and Floyd Carter; and two sisters, Opal and Mary Evelyn, also preceded him in death.
    There will be no services or visitation.
    Memorials: Van Wert Community Health Professionals inpatient hospice facility.
