ROEHM

Debra D. Roehm, 51, of Van Wert, died at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born March 25, 1958, in Decatur, Ind., the daughter of the late Albert H. and Ruth E. (Myers) Roehm. She never married.

Survivors include a sister, Carolyn K. Roehm of Convoy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy, with the Rev. Michael Saylor officiating. Burial will be in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery in Convoy.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Iris Christabel (Nice) May, 88, of Van Wert, died at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009, at the Laurels of Defiance.

She was born January 31, 1921, in Colchester, Essex, England, the daughter of the late William P. and Edith (Lawrance) Nice. On September 24, 1945, in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, she married Donald S. May, who preceded her in death on May 31, 1991.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Philip) Furnas of Defiance; and a sister, May Brown of Van Wert.

Four brothers, Bill, Robert, John and Laurie Nice, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Donald May officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Donor’s choice.
