SPRINGER

Meredith Audley Springer, 98, of Van Wert, died at 10:46 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009, at his residence.

He was born July 12, 1911, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late Rollie Rolland and Golda F. (Thomas) Springer. On May 28, 1938, he married Ernestine Ellen (Goble) Springer, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two daughters, Audrey Ellen McClure and Susan Kathleen (Dennis) Norman, both of Van Wert; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Rex Audley Springer; a son-in-law, Robert McClure; a sister, Wanda Eileen Sheets; and a great-great-grandson, Nathaniel Robert Wilder, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 9, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

The family will receive friends from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, November 8, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.
