Death notice for Carol R. "Red" Kemp.

Carol R. “Red” Kemp Sr., 72, of Van Wert, died Sunday
morning, October 22, 2006, at his residence.
He was born July 26, 1934, in Hot Springs, Ark., the son of
the late Mearl and Pauline (Long) Kemp. On July 9, 1952, he married Pasty R.
“Pat” (Wilson) Kemp, who died September 16, 1987.
Mr. Kemp retired from Sprint Telephone Company in Van Wert
after more than 30 years of service.
Survivors include a son, “Butch” (Bobbie) Kemp of Van Wert; a daughter, Shirley
(Larry) Lloyd of Van Wert; four brothers, Joe (Candy) Kemp of Mountain Pine,
Ark., Dale (Rhonda) Kemp of Hot Springs, Ark., Allen (Linda) Kemp of Malvern,
Ark. And Jim (Nina) Kemp of Houston, Texas; a sister, Betty (O.J.) Sharp of
Mount Ida, Ark.; five grandchildren, Korrey Kemp, Charlene Kemp, Eric (Amber)
Lloyd, Tricia (John) Ridenour and Tiffany (Jim) Werts; and five
great-grandchildren, Caleb and Elliott Lloyd, Lainey Werts and Haydn and Hutch
Ridenour.
A brother, Tom Kemp, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,
October 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with officiating
minister John Rager. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Visitation is from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, at
the funeral home.
