In other action, the board:
Accepted the following supplemental contract resignations as of the end of the current contract year: Judy Krites, high school girls’ head volleyball coach; and Dianna Shields, high school MFE chairperson.
Approved the following supplemental contracts for this school year: Missy Bockrath, high school girls’ assistant softball coach; Kerry Koontz, middle school girls’ head track coach; Bob Spath, middle school boys’ head track coach’ Mike Myers, middles school boys’/girls’ assistant track coach; and Bob Priest, volunteer high school boys’ track coach.
Approve the Educational Option Program Agreement between Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training and Rehabilitation Center.
Approved a one-year leave for absence for high school teacher Tracey Smith, who has the opportunity to earn a doctorate from the University of Dayton.
Approved the following administrative contracts for the 2008-2009 school year: Mark Bagley and Mary Riepenhoff, middle school principals; Bill Clifton, high school principal; and Kevin Gehres, elementary principal.
Did not object to a request for a change in liquor license for the Partee Shop on West Main Street. The school needed to sign off since the store is located within 500 feet of school facilities.
Received draft policies through NEOLA from Amstutz that need to be reviewed prior to proposed passage in April.
The next meeting of the Van Wert City Board of Education will be Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 6 p.m.
