Western Buckeye ESC Board meeting

    In other action, the board:

• Approved a motion for NOACSC to pay the cost of background checks for its current employees, but applicants and new employees will be responsible for the cost of background checks in future.

• Approved the NOACSC calendar for the 2008-2009 employee calendars as presented.

• Approved the Fiscal Year 2009 competitive application of the CCIP: Alternative Education Challenge Grant, 21st Century Grant and the Learn & Serve Grant.

• Approved extended year and summer contracts as needed.

• Approved additional hours for occupational and physical therapy services as needed to complete the 2007-2008 school year.

• Approved the OESCA Code of Professional Ethics as provided by that organization.

• Approved a job description for the central office secretary/administrative assistant position as presented.

    The next regularly scheduled meeting of the WBESC Governing Board will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at the Van Wert ESC office.
